Nation’s leading litigation support services and discovery management company taps sales, marketing, general management, and recognized industry expert to head operations
March 9, 2009 – Charlotte, NC – Confirming its strong position as one of the nation’s foremost litigation support services and discovery management companies, IVIZE announces industry veteran RON SELF as the company’s new CEO. Self will call upon his 30 years of experience to guide IVIZE through their next level of business growth opportunities and continue to meet the critical discovery and litigation goals for law firms, corporations, and government entities. With a longstanding background in the industrial and business service sectors, Self is an ideal choice to run this thriving and respected organization.
Committed to the highest defensibility, quality, and cost-efficiency standards, IVIZE leverages innovative tools and efficient processes to address today’s complex litigation requirements. Employing its exclusive Smart Discovery™ Approach, IVIZE effectively utilizes the company’s advanced technology, exceptional service, and true expertise to support clients end-to-end, from litigation readiness and ESI collection, to production and trial. IVIZE is a proud Socha Gelbmann 2008 Top Provider in e-Discovery and an active participant in the EDRM project.
Reflecting IVIZE’s venerable reputation, Self built the strong foundation for his impressive career working for Fortune 50 companies, including Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, and Coca-Cola. His early experience covered the areas of field sales, marketing, national accounts, and general management, allowing him to take formidable next steps. Over the past decade, Self held senior leadership responsibilities as the President, COO, and CEO of several mid cap companies, with $75 to $500 million in revenues. During this tenure, he gained valuable experience in acquiring and integrating six companies, taking one company public, and successfully selling three companies, always returning exceptional dividends to the shareholders.
Specifically, as President & CEO of Uniscribe Professional Services, a national document management firm, Self led the company’s turnaround into a growing, profitable, well-managed business, ultimately successfully selling the business to Williams Lea. Previously, Self was President of Headhunter.net achieving record sales growth of 42%, reducing costs and turning losses into substantial profits until its acquisition by CareerBuilder. Headhunter.net was the #3 E-recruiting Internet company. As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of COMSYS IT Partners, Self directed all field sales and operations, national accounts, systems integration, and international recruiting. Revenues for COMSYS were approximately $400 million with profits of $60 million. Self also spent nine years in SVP, VP, and GM positions at Norrell Corporation, helping to nurture the $300 million private business into a $1.4 billion publicly held staffing, outsourcing, and professional services company. Norrell merged with Interim Services to become a $3 billion leader in human capital management and was later rebranded Spherion.
The unique and vastly effective strategies Self used to dramatically strengthen and grow all these organizations will serve as extraordinarily productive assets for IVIZE. Self has proven to be skilled at developing talent, clarifying focus and direction, all coveted qualities in the litigation support service and discovery management arena.
"Upon introduction to IVIZE, I was immediately impressed with the company’s focus on superior customer service and innovation,” states Self. “The commitment level of the team and the investors is, in my book, the sure sign of a truly great company and I’m excited to be involved in IVIZE’s future.”
Self graduated from the University of Houston with a BBA in Marketing and has participated in numerous executive development programs at Darden and Emory Universities. Among his many accomplishments and recognitions, he was noted for Leadership by American Executive Magazine in 2004.
